Resilience: The Antidote to an Uncertain World

This interactive workshop will include a discussion on the present state of the world and its relationship to the mental health of the collective. When there is uncertainty in our environment, we feel unsafe and are at risk to burnout (feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion; increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one's job; and reduced professional efficacy.)
Together with the existing workplace wellness program, this workshop will teach employees and employers how to develop resilience In and outside of workplace. The workshop also incorporates a self-assessment to determine predisposition to burnout and individualized resilience wellness plans. Participants will gain a better understanding of the role of emotions and learn simple strategies to improve management of stress and uncertainly.

Attendees will Learn

-The definition of resilience and why it is important in an uncertain world
-How our five core emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, fear and disgust affect our daily decisions, interactions and behaviors
-Understand how to recognize, label and process our emotions
-Learn strategies to cope with prominent emotion of fear, the primary emotion that arises from uncertainty
-How to develop a individualized resilience wellness plan

About this Speaker

Victoria is a wellness psychotherapist, she has a private practice in NYC. She started her private practice in 2014 incorporating all of her knowledge and experience to providing holistically oriented treatment to New Yorkers who are on the front lines of corporate America. Helping “Type A” personalities with high functioning anxiety, who struggle with self-care, finding meaning and balance in their work lives. Victoria is a corporate wellness expert, creating realistic employee self-care and wellness routines, as well as connecting psychotherapy, modern science, and mindfulness meditation in workplace wellness programs.
