Nutrition Myth Busting

5 Things You Thought Were True & 5 True Things You Need to Know

In 1984 TIME magazine published a cover story with a picture of a frowning bacon & eggs face, warning people on the dangers of cholesterol. Then in 1999 TIME issued a very similar cover with a smiling face. It turns out everything we were told about the dangers of cholesterol was the opposite! From cholesterol, to low fat, to dieting and calorie counting, there always seems to be some nutrition “fad.” But what is true and what is “magazine nutrition?” This interactive workshop works to debunk nearly everything you think is true about nutrition. The good news? Jennie will share what is actually good for you, and you are sure to be surprised (and relieved) by what you can eat. Participants will follow along with activities, worksheets, and discussion, while leaving with actionable steps.

Attendees will Learn

-Why everything you have learned about nutrition may actually be the opposite
-Interesting ways to eat healthy in a way you never thought before
-Why it’s actually okay to eat bacon (phew)
