This presentation looks at what food sensitivities are and how they differ from food allergies and intolerances.  Common symptoms and challenges identifying food sensitivities are also discussed.  As the incidence of autoimmune and chronic diseases continues to rise, understanding the role food plays as both healer and harmer becomes clear. About this speaker: Ryan is the owner of a private practice offering various nutrition-based therapies for individuals with autoimmune diseases and digestive disorders. Ryan is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and serves as the Treasurer of the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietetic Practice Group. He is also a Course Facilitator in the Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine Program at the University of Western States, where he oversees student coursework.
