Navigating through Mental Health Issues in the Workplace

Mental Health Training for Managers
At least 1 out 10 of working adults are dealing with personal mental health issues and for the most part, these employees are successful in managing their illness to lessen the potential effects on work performance or professional standards. However, some employees may still experience difficulties at work that affect performance or manifest in workplace behavior that is counterproductive.

Attendees will Learn:
- to effectively manage employees when addressing issues that negatively impact job performance
- how to increase productivity in ways that support employees who are working through their mental health issues
- ways to help employees maintain healthy working relationships with peers and supervisors.

About this speaker: After serving as Chief People Officer in global tech companies (MediaMath and Shutterstock) Peter became a Culture Doctor, as he wanted to help more than one company at a time. He's enjoying sharing lessons learned along the way to getting MediaMath to be the only East Coast or West Coast <1,000 employee company to ever make the Glassdoor Employees' Choice Best Place Places To Work list three years in a row. He's was delighted to have since seen multiple clients join Crain's NYC Best Places To Work 2017 list and Glassdoor's Best Places To Work 2018 list. Having begun his corporate HR career in Charter Behavioral Health System in the 90’s, Peter has long been a proponent of shifting organizational culture towards higher mental wellness awareness.
