Starting a Yoga Practice

This workshop can be taught in two- three hour workshops or three- two hour workshops. Participants learn how to practice Vinyasa and restorative yoga. Breaking down postures and using props to support poses where needed. In this beginner level program participants will learn postures, pranayama, meditation and mindfulness techniques.

Attendees Will Learn

-Vinyasa and restorative yoga practices
-Pranayama (breathing techniques) to help control stress and calm the mind
-Three types of meditation practices
-Mindfulness in everyday life

Marda is an experienced Yoga teacher with 18 years of practice and 8 years of teaching
