This webinar will provide participants with information on creating the best ergonomic office set up while working from a home environment versus a traditional one. Many workers telecommute on a regular basis and with the recent worldwide public health crisis, more employees are finding themselves in a work from home position. Working from home can pose some unique ergonomic situations, especially in the absence of a typical office desk-set up. Participants will learn to identify risk factors in their own home environment, determine solutions for risks that could lead to potential discomfort, and establish where they can most optimally work in their home with good ergonomic principles. A PowerPoint presentation using an online electronic platform will be utilized. An online demonstration of ergonomic exercise breaks will be demonstrated.
Attendees Will Learn
-Define Ergonomics and describe its relationship to health and wellness
-Identify 1-3 common risk factors for poor ergonomics practices when working from home
-Identify 1-3 ergonomic solutions for your home office environment
