Yoga for Anxiety

Since the 1970s, meditation and other stress-reduction techniques have been studied as possible treatments for anxiety. Available reviews of a wide range of yoga practices suggest they can reduce the impact of exaggerated stress responses and may be helpful for both anxiety and depression. In this respect, yoga functions like other self-soothing techniques, such as meditation, relaxation, exercise, or even socializing with friends.

About this Speaker

Kelli has been in the fitness industry for over 17 years and is currently an E-RYT 200hr and RYT 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She is also the creator and director of Dynamic Yoga Barre Fundamental Training. Kelli found the love of yoga later in her fitness career, after a neck injury forced her to give up teaching her high impact classes and focus on a more healing approach to fitness.
Yoga has strengthened Kelli mentally, emotionally, and physically. Being able to come to the mat, be present in the moment, and completely let go, has truly had a positive affect on her life. She feels blessed to share what she has learned and is always open to learning more. Kelli is known in the yoga community as an outgoing and playful teacher, who brings a strong and dynamic flow that will give you a deep understanding of the practice and cultivate body awareness.
The greatest reward that she gets from her work is knowing that she really is inspiring others to live healthier and happier lives and they are sharing their new found inspiration with others, making the world a better place.
