Becoming aware of breath control and learning how to use it through meditation can help us reset, calm our minds and walk away from the fight or flight mode. Often we breath so shallow that the gas exchange in the lower lobes of our lunges is poor; this shallow breath is connected with irritability, anxiety and stress. Breathing and meditation are two powerful tools we can use to help us decrease our daily stress and anxiety, and bring us to a calmer state of mind.
