Iyengar Yoga

Iyengar Yoga is a form of yoga as exercise that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of yoga postures (asanas). The style often makes use of props, such as belts, blocks, and blankets, as aids in performing the asanas. This is a style of yoga that emphasizes precision and physical alignment of the body which can help students gain flexibility, balance, and strength, and may even be useful in the management of certain health conditions like chronic low back pain. Detail-oriented and slow-paced, Iyengar yoga is good for beginners.
