This is a presentation on how Tai Chi works to improve balance, slow the progress of some arthritis and prevent falling. Learn about the medical statistics on arthritis and the research evidence on the efficacy of Tai Chi for helping manage and offset symptoms of arthritis. Also includes medical research on Tai Chi and fall prevention and a 20 minute Tai Chi experience for participants.

About This Speaker

Lea has been a professional Tai Chi instructor and Shifu (expert) of Qigong for over a decade. Her 17 year career as a licensed clinical massage therapist has afforded her health industry knowledge and skills that go far beyond the typical exercise or tai chi instructor. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Interpersonal Communications and has a presentation style that makes learning and doing the exercises of tai chi and qigong fun, entertaining, and memorable.
